By creating an account or using PermaCampaign (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children.
PermaCampaign is a single-player roleplaying game refereed by software and AI language models. Game outcomes are decided by a deterministic rules engine; narration is generated by AI.
AI-generated content can be wrong, strange, or unintended. Do not rely on anything the Service produces as factual, professional, or advisory. The fiction the Service generates does not represent our views.
You own the campaigns, characters, and stories you create. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us only the limited license necessary to operate the Service: to store your content, process it, and transmit it to the AI providers that generate your game (see the Privacy Policy). This license exists so the Service can function, ends when you delete your content, and does not permit us to publish or commercialize your campaigns.

The Service includes material from the System Reference Document 5.1, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License — see the NOTICE file and the in-product attribution. PermaCampaign is an independent product, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The Service depends on third-party providers for AI inference, authentication, database hosting, and application hosting. Their availability is not within our control.
Nothing is for sale yet. Terms for paid features will be added here before any payment is ever accepted.
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the Service entirely.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that game data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot bear to lose.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, and will make reasonable efforts to give notice first.
If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We may assign ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the Service before taking effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
